RE: What gassers support a motorcycle carrier

As mentioned before, the issue is the overhang. I have about 12' behind my axle to the bumper. My frame doesn't extend that far. Real bummer, I got a nice lift for next to nthing, and couldn't use it. Look at the disel rear axle and the distance to the rear, plus your engine support is at the back. This configuration will usually support the bike. a good lift is a 2 point, at the ends. A new receiver is welded in at each end to fit into. Don't use the hitch reciver.

Cruise Control rough

My Dad just told me his RV works fine in driving, but in cruise, when in hills, and in a downshift situation, the engine runs very rough, sould like about to stall etc. Sounds to me like a vacuum leak, messing with the downshift, upshift. He wants this fixed before he heads back south, hopefuly an easy one. Workhorse chassis. Any ideas? Similar situations resolved?

RE: The Undertaker--Motorcycle trailing system

Turns, the bike is pivoting on the head tube, I don't think that is an issue, the front end stays inline with tv. As to the rear tire and trans, that is my issue. Tires that run out in 10,000 miles don't need non riding miles on them. I have an enclosed trailer for carrying. Can be backed, is a great garage when I get to destination, and with lighting etc, is a nice workshop. This unit is $329, certainly on the inexpensive side, but all things considered, watch the local ads for a ramp trailer. Best purpose is coming to get the stranded rider, so long as the stranding isn't a flat rear tire!

RE: Alfa Soo Long Quality To Buy or Not

Alfa owners are pretty loyal bunch. Until they have had enough, then they get dropped. Being in the UK the company being thre or not doesn't make much difference, but all in all, I would steer away. I used to be in the RV biz, when I had a customer with an Alfa I knew the trade would be ugly, we usually auctioned the Alfas, they didn't sell well on our lot. What does all this mean to you? If you like it, the floorplan, the price and accept the drawbacks which have been pointed out, go for it, but be aware, if you can get it cheap, expect to trade it cheap.

RE: Still looking and bidding

Interesting thing happened and was explained on another forum. Guy won the bid on a 'new' (never been titled) I think 06 5th wheel, seller did not out in reserve price, he won an MSRP 37k (?) for 15K (numbers approx but close), I guess invoice was about 29k. Dealer made up a story and said it couldn't be sold. Buyer went public, dealer relented. It was quite a soap opera! Good luck with your bidding. Here is where the online pricess is tough. If you go to a dealer with a sales consultant that knowes what he is talking about, he can guide you to what you want without these false starts. You are in the coach, where pictures don't lie. Pictures are tough, they just don't show it all, no matter whether it looks as bad as it is, or as good as it is. They are not 3 dimensional.

RE: Opinions Wanted

I'll echo the Coachmen sentiment. I would look at other brands. Aside from that, I see you have a wing, if you want to put on a lift for the bike, stick with the diesel.

Sounds like you have a good list to try. Now for something completely different. Are you on Antelope Island?

RE: Beaudry RV Tuson closing??

Where do you get CW and LD as sameo? Very Differento I think. CW is all over the country, LD is so far one site. Tucson would be 2nd site.

RE: What Can I Expect to Pay?

30% is a joke at the dealers. It is a huge disservice to buyers to thnik that it can be had. There may be some brands with that kind of markup, but Tiffin ain't one of them. Previuos posters are right, the dealer still has to make a profit, there are some close to cost bargains out there, but the Tiffins are selling pretty good. I worked the last 3 years at the highest volume Tiffin dealer in the country, and these are still selling well. Remember what the prev poster said about dealerships adjusting staff? I was a staff adjustment. That floorplan in your quest is a great one, I remember it well. You will really enjoy it. I would think at about 115000 you can find a dealer, but at 100,000 they would be losing a lot of money. Good luck.

RE: how to get ez pass

The EZ Pass is good down to about MD I think. FL has a different pass. Haven't needed one in middle states that I can think of. So, what other posters have mentioned is that NY doesn't have a maintenance fee? Mine is from NJ and we have been paying the @$1 a month. We don't use it now, but figured it wasb't worth sending back for the convenience of using it when we do go back that way. Now I may change my mind.

RE: Is Fleetwood Next

Someone beat me to it. 09's have been out for awhile. I have a fried that works for Fleetwood and is being promoted, dobt that is happening in a company going down. All of them are leaning up, getting ready for fight weight. Next year or two will be very telling.

RE: Question about Allegro Bay 34 XB layout

You can rotate it about 180 deg. Nice floorplan. I don't have one, but I represented them.

RE: Safari BFG Velvet Ride

Yup. Drive one. Drive one with a more modern air ride system. Decide. Cost can be an issue, the velvet ride is going to be less. If the ride is OK to you, go for it.

RE: Camping World Closing Store

Before I left Laz Days I heard that CW will close that store when the lease is done. LD never wanted to be in the accessory biz, so not sure what that building will become. Maybe a new standalone Cafe for hot dogs on Saturdays? Better to get an entrepreneur to open an accesory store.

RE: Sell to someone you know?

If I had issues with the coach I would let them know the situation and make their own choice. as to I have problems I'll trade it. The dealer will ask condition, the dealer will ask if there are any known problems. How would you answer? If you are OK with hiding issues from the dealer, would you be OK if the dealer did not disclose problems they knew of on what you trade for? Sell to a friend? Sure. So long as certain conditions are there. Disclosure. This is how it is now, I have no isdea what may happen later. I did a trade with a buddy for a TC. He always liked it, always said if I were to want to sell it to let him know. We moved, he stored my vintage bike for me in his barn. We bought another TC, I called him and we worked out, he would transport my bike here, I would give him the TC in exchange. Pretty good deal for both of us. When I put the TC in storgae everything worked perfect. When he came down to pick it up, the fridge wouldn't start. I felt bad, but was hardly in a position to warranty it. He just figured the cost of a fridge for a TC and a couple tanks of gas was a pretty good deal.

RE: Leaking TV Antenna

The other culprit is the boot over the coax cable. Is your desk under the crank?

RE: Best A Class you can buy for sale on E-Bay
